Welcome to the 2024 Celebration of Young Authors County Winners! Congratulations to ALL Young Authors!   

In this file, you will find: 

    1. A  YouTube video recording of the Young Authors Celebration Event, held April 28, 2024, at Floyd Central High. The Floyd County Schools’ Jazz Ensemble played for a half hour pre-show  prior to the Young Authors Celebration Event. 

Note: The background in the video and filming is a set for a 1940s play; memorabilia from that time period will be visible.

Special Thanks to the Young Authors’ District Judges

Judges worked virtually, April 3—April 8th to review 252 Young Author books to choose the 64 county winners for 2024.

Special Thanks to Dr. Mary Ruth Wallen who served as liaison between the college judges and Dr. Patricia Watson of the Floyd County Schools.
