Superintendent Danny Adkins announces Stacy Shannon as the new principal at Renaissance Learning Center.

 

Superintendent Adkins comments, “Stacy Shannon knows instruction from top to bottom and she knows how to reach students. She excels at building relationships with students and their families and that quality will be a fantastic fit for RLC.” Adkins continues, “She is passionate about everything she does where students are concerned and we’re excited to have her in this role.”

 

Stacy Shannon has over 20 years of experience as an educator. Having graduated from Morehead State University, she began as an elementary teacher. Stacy has been a school council member, a curriculum resource teacher, a member of our Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (CIA) team and served on multiple committees. Stacy also brings her experience as an administrator at the middle and high school levels.

 

Shannon comments, “I’m excited to bring my passion about learning to RLC. The school is a fantastic opportunity for students who need this type of setting. We will work together to help all students be successful and graduate so they can have more possibilities for their futures.”

 

Stacy and her husband Scott live in Drift with their daughters Kailey and Kamryn.

 

Superintendent Adkins comments, “Stacy’s vast experience will help be an asset to the students and staff at RLC. We look forward to working with her in this role and seeing RLC continuing to develop into a model program for students.”
