Superintendent Danny Adkins announces that Kade Scott, senior from Floyd Central High School, is one of nineteen students selected to serve on the Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council for the 2020-2021 year, a group that provides input to Kentucky Commissioner of Education about how state level decisions affect students throughout the Commonwealth.

Superintendent Adkins comments, “Congratulations Kade! We are excited to see this young man representing our students at this level. This smart young man is a very focused individual. He’s served on student councils since middle school, as he’s always wanted to be part of the team that finds solutions. We know he will do an exemplary job as a voice for students and we are confident that Commissioner Glass will find him a valuable member of the advisory council.”

Kade is a Floyd County Early College Academy student and he will graduate high school with an Associate’s of Science. He is a member of the National Honor Society, captain for the FCHS Academic team and is a member of the golf team. His future plans include medical school.

Kade Scott is the son of Byron and Stephanie Scott of Langley.

Kade’s first council meeting will be July 29.
