Superintendent Danny Adkins is excited to announce seven of our teachers have attained National Board Certification.

Adkins comments, “We’re so proud of these seven ladies for all their hard work and dedication to our students. Becoming a National Board Certified Teacher is a challenging process. These teachers have dissected their teaching practices and student results in order to improve and fine-tune their craft so that kids can learn more. They’ve taken tests, critiqued and analyzed videos of themselves teaching, analyzed and reflected on student work samples and more. It is like a detailed professional self –audit with evidence of growth.”

Adkins ended saying, “When people go to lengths to get better at what they do for our students, we want to celebrate them. Our Floyd County team is proud of Kristin, Tasha, Kristin, Kayla, Erica, Jessica and Jennifer for obtaining this advanced certification and we invite everyone to join us in congratulating them.”
