Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb announces that the Betsy Layne High School Robotics team placed first and second at the Robo Challenge Xtreme (RCX) regional competition on March 18th at Dorton Elementary in Pike County.

 

Webb comments, “The board team and I are extremely proud of Coach Cornett and her teams. They’ve competed at this level and advanced to state for four consecutive years and this is the second consecutive year that Betsy Layne has taken 1st and 2nd at the regional level.”

 

The Betsy Layne High School Robotics team is divided into a varsity and a junior varsity team. Both teams will travel to Rupp Arena on April 12th to compete at the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) state competition.

 

Superintendent Webb ended saying, “Please join us in congratulating the Betsy Layne High School Robotics program on their success and wishing them the best at state competition. It’s exciting to see such a successful program for KIDS!”
