Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb announces Jody Roberts has been selected as principal at Betsy Layne High School.

Webb comments, “Jody has been in education for two decades, with part of that time on our administrative team in Floyd County Schools. He has served in different roles in the Betsy Layne attendance area and spent the ten of those years at the high school. We know that Jody wants to see the school continue to grow and get better for KIDS.”

Jody Roberts has been in education for twenty years. Roberts has been a 5th grade teacher at John M. Stumbo Elementary, a curriculum resource teacher for John M. Stumbo Elementary and for Betsy Layne High School, and an assistant principal at Betsy Layne High School.

“My heart is with these kids and this community and I will work to see that Betsy Layne High School is always a great place to be and a great place to learn. I look forward to this new challenge and will work hard for the students, the staff and the community,” Roberts commented.

Jody and his wife Deborah live in Grethel with their son Ethan and their daughters, Emily and Alexis (Allie).

Superintendent Webb continued, “The board team and I are excited to have Jody working in this new role with Betsy Layne High School.”
